Melody graduated in 1973 from Eastern Tennessee State University with an Associate's degree in dental hygiene. She grew up in eastern NC and has lived in the Charlotte area for the past 25 years. Melody has been part of our team since 2007. She has one adult son and daughter. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at church, traveling, cooking and outdoor activities.
Sheri received her Bachelor of Science degree in 2001 from Springfield College in Springfield, MA. She is a certified dental assistant through the Dental Assisting National Board. She has been Dr. Mello's assistant since November 2006 after moving to Charlotte from Boston. Sheri enjoys spending her time off with friends and family. She loves the outdoors and training to compete in 5K's and Triathalons.
Lisa is an original Carolina girl. After growing up in Harrisburg, she continues to reside there with her husband and had their first child in August of 2010. She enjoys running, working out and spending time with friends and family. Lisa is Dr Van Lanen's dental assistant and has been with the practice since 1998. She graduated from Central Piedmont Community College in 1998 as a Certified Dental Assistant and a DA II.
Kelly graduted from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine Hygiene Program in 1994. She recieved her Bachelors degree from Geneva College in Beaver Falls PA. Kelly moved to Charlotte from Pittsburgh and has been with our practice since 2002. She is married and has two young children. In her spare time she enjoys reading sports and spending time with her family. Denny Hamlin is her favorite NASCAR Driver.
Paula has been with our office since 1989 and enjoys her job helping patients understand and maximize their insurance plans. She is married, has a son and two grandchildren and enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Karen moved to Charlotte from Florida and has been with our office since 2006. She graduated from the University of South Florida and then went to dental assisting school and has worked in the dental field since 1979. She is bilingual(Spanish) and enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Ellen is a graduate of CPCC with a Dental Assisting II degree and has been with the practice since 2002. Ellen serves the office as a Front Desk Coordinator and Dental Assistant. She is from Charlotte and is a former Charlotte Hornets Honeybee and Carolina Panther Topcat. Her hobbies include running, working out and spending time with her husband and two children.
